Uncomplicated Dementia Pathway - Reassurance Lifestyle Advice

  • Exercise has the most proven benefit for maintaining cognitive function.  An increased level of fitness is associated with improved memory and learning and a reduction in age-related cognitive decline.  Cumulative exercise from normal activities of daily living (ADL), such as, vacuuming, collecting the mail, walking to the shops, should be encouraged as well as consideration for referral for formal exercise participation.
