Media Release COVID-19: NO-VISITORS POLICY ADOPTED FOR BOPDHB FACILITIES

The NZ Government has asked us to implement management of COVID-19 Pandemic during this challenging time, including visitor regulations (see attached).   Effectively there are NO visitors allowed into the Hospital (effective from Friday 27 March), with 3 exceptions only:

  1. One nominated Support Person is allowed to support a Terminal Patient through end of Life Care.
  2. One nominated Parent or Guardian is allowed to support a Child Patient who has been admitted.
  3. One nominated support person for a woman in labour.

While this may seem strict and severe, it is part of the extraordinary measures that are required if we are to control the spread of COVID-19. Please click here to read the full media release.
