A consumer level recall will be initiated shortly by LeaderBrand Produce Ltd in Gisborne. LeaderBrand Produce Ltd will be recalling specific batches of various brands (including Value brand, Pam’s Fresh Express brand, Fresh Plus brand, LeaderBrand brand and potentially others) and unbranded of freshcut salads due to the presence of Listeria spp.

The affected branded products have been sold in both Foodstuffs and Progressive/Countdown supermarkets in New Zealand. Unlabelled products have been supplied to Subway, Pita Pit and My Food Bag.

We have no reports of associated illness.
