A new e-Referral for those patients presenting with menorrhagia has been created to help make the process more streamlined and efficient. This is scheduled to go live on the 20th April.
One great advantage of the latest addition to Best Practice referrals is in the case of a woman who has heavy bleeding and with a large pelvic mass of over 12 weeks size the referral will automatically generate an ultrasound referral as well as a gynaecology referral. Now that’s a bonus!
The form aims to reduce the amount of free text that a GP has to write whilst ensuring that all the critical information is present to enable accurate grading from the gynaecologists.
