The Hidden Iceberg of Influenza Carriers

As the flu season starts to wind down this is an interesting finding from a large NZ study. It reveals that there is a surprisingly high percentage of people  who become infected with the influenza virus but who are asymptomatic.

However they are still able pass on the virus to more vulnerable members of the community. This re-enforces the importance of widespread vaccination -
