Skills with Rings?
There is always a high demand for specialist services and if we can find a way to reduce or make their clinics more efficient then this will be advantageous to us all, especially our patients.
The gynaecologists have identified a group of patients that attend outpatient clinic just to have their ring pessaries changed every six months. These patients are often elderly with other co-morbidities and avoiding a hospital visit would be beneficial to them and free up space for other cases. Perhaps some of these patients could have their pessaries changed by their GP?
Please could you answer a 3 question survey to help in looking at the feasibility of this initiative. The survey means we can gauge the skill level in primary care and help us make appropriate recommendations to the Gynae team. Click here to complete the survey.
