Bay of Plenty people requiring radiotherapy for cancer treatment have in the past travelled to Hamilton for their assessment and radiation treatment.
The Kathleen Kilgour Centre, a new radiotherapy specialist centre has been built on the Tauranga Hospital campus and will open on 1 October 2014.
