The Bay of Plenty DHB clinical school in partnership with the University of Auckland are looking to commence a feasibility study investigating different treatment options available for children with preschool wheeze (aged 2-5 years). The project is co-supervised by Professor Innes Asher (Head, Department of Paediatrics at Auckland) and A/Professor Peter Gilling (Head, BOPDHB clinical school).
Surveys are being posted out to GP practices to estimate the community prevalence of the condition and to identify suitable families for recruitment towards a pilot study measuring symptoms and use of reliever medications. If you are interested in being consulted regarding research protocols and ways to best approach primary care patients, please contact Jimmy Chong (email@example.com)
