Mirena

Note if there are no red flags and no abnormality on examination there is no need to have an USS prior to Mirena insertion

NZ Special Authority Criteria for Mirena*

If you do not have a GP at your practice who can insert Mirena's, the following GPs are willing to see unregistered patients specifically for this purpose.


Alternatively Family Planning do offer a Mirena service at a reasonable rate.
