Heart Failure Pathway - ECG

ECG abnormalities are often non-specific in heart failure:

  • ECG seldom normal in systolic heart failure.
  • ST segment changes - elevation, depression, strain pattern.
  • Conduction abnormalities - LBBB, LA hemiblock, AV block, non-specific intraventricular conduction delays.
  • LV hypertrophy.
  • Q waves associated with previous MI.
  • Sinus tachycardia.
  • Atrial fibrillation.
