Transgender teenagers

Kendall Crossen, local paediatrician has about five transgender teenagers that she is involved with at any one time. She has let us know that it can be challenging at times to find GP’s willing to co-manage these individuals. This is particularly so when they transition out of the Adolescent Clinic.

If you have an interest in this subject and would be willing to occasionally circumnavigate your practices ‘closed books’ policy then please could you let us know (baynav@bopdhb.govt.nz) and we can pass on your details to Dr Crossen to use in these very specific circumstances.
